Jerome Lucero and Jeff Northrup are bringing the Gross Receipt Tax (GRT) increase to the voters for a yes or no vote. This is certainly within their rights, however I would like the voters to consider the following before signing their petition and when voting should it happen.

Rep. Luján to Visit Taos to Host Veterans Discussion

Plaza Fills to Hear Richardson Announce Stimulus Grant for Northern New Mexico Acequias, Land Grant Council

August 18, 2010 - 06:18 pm

(Taos) Governor Bill Richardson today (August 18) announced that approximately $1 million in stimulus funds will go to six acequias and community irrigation systems and the recently-established New Mexico Land Grant Council.
