Increasing Bicycle Safety in the Community

HI Bicycle Enthusiasts, Principals, Physical Education Teachers, Health Councils, Law Enforcement, Kids program Directors, and Citizens,

Do we have some folks that would like to learn to teach children and/or adults bicycle safety education classes? Taos is being given the opportunity to provide a comprehensive Bike Education program ongoing in Taos.

The Fifth Annual Night 1000 Stars

The Taos Community PTSA is delighted to announce that our exciting, multicultural, and highly anticipated community youth talent show " The Fifth Annual Night of 1000 Stars" will take place at the TCA on April 16 and 17, 2010. There will be three shows with performances on Friday April 16 at 7:30 P.M., Saturday April 17 at 1:30 P.M. and Saturday April 17 at 7:30 P.M.

County Planning Board to hear from Citizens of Tierra Blanca Neighborhood

Keith Randall has constructed a huge warehouse (just under 9,000 sq. ft.) in the foothills of the Tierra Blanca neighborhood, off of Highway 68 and Christine Selphe Road. The building itself is ugly, but legal. The height of the building, however, exceeds the maximum height permitted in our land use regulations (by 10’ based on our calculations).

Responsive and Responsible Government in Action

The Town of Taos Planning and Zoning Commission voted (February 3) to allow the zoning change for planned facility for the Taos Soil & Water Conservation. Three of the ten acres will receive a C-1 conditional zoning that will provide a water well to service the three acres.
